Recipe: Shamrock Shake

Getting festive for St. Patty's Day, skip the McDonald's one and make one at home with more veggies, protein, and all the fixings of a balanced smoothie (you all ready know protein, fat, fiber!).

Great to make for yourself when you want something a little less berry in your smoothie OR to serve up for breakfast befor any festive St. Patty's day activities!

Here's what you need:

  • 1 Scoop of vanilla protein powder (I use Be Well by Kelly)

  • A giant handful of spinach

  • 1/2 an avocado

  • 1/2 tsp peppermint extract

  • 1 Blenderbomb (or combo of hemp seeds/chia seeds/flax seeds)

  • 1 cup of frozen cauliflower

  • 1/4 cup frozen banana

  • Cashew milk (I never measure but pour for about 5-6 seconds)

What to do:

Add all your ingredients into a blender and mix it up to desired consistency. If you want it thicker, add more cauliflower. If you want it more liquid-consistency, add more milk.
